Somebody has just sent us this review of one of Richard's "Whisperer" concerts from last year:
"His laid back, friendly style immediately established a rapport with his sizeable audience. After introducing his exquisite new guitar, named after him by its maker Gary Hearn, he produced a banjo which he described as 'made in a tractor factory in Eastern Europe,' and proceeded to play Bach's Suite in G Major on it, "like Shakespeare meets Bagpuss" as he said. In his hands it sounded just as legitimate and enticing as the Scarlatti or Tchaikovsky or any of the specialist Spanish guitar composers, whose work he also played."
